Welcome to Caterer VA. These terms govern your use of catererva.com and our services. By using the platform you agree to them.
1. What Caterer VA is
Caterer VA is an online marketplace that helps customers in Virginia discover independent caterers and request quotes or place orders. We are not a caterer and do not prepare, sell or deliver food — catering services are provided directly by the independent businesses listed on the platform.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. For customers
Browsing and requesting quotes is free. When you submit a request, your details are shared with the caterer you selected so they can respond. Any booking, contract, payment and the food itself are solely between you and the caterer.
4. For caterers
Caterers pay a monthly subscription to list on the platform — we never take a commission on your orders. You are responsible for keeping your listing accurate, holding all required licenses, permits and insurance, complying with food-safety and other applicable laws, and fulfilling the services you offer.
5. Verification
The “Verified Virginia Caterer” badge means we reviewed a caterer's license, health permit and insurance at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of quality or outcome; please still use your own judgment.
6. Payments
Caterer subscriptions are billed through our payment processor. Payments for catering services are handled between the customer and the caterer. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Reviews & content
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. Do not post false, misleading, unlawful or abusive content. We may remove content that violates these terms.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the platform — no scraping, fraud, harassment, attempts to disrupt the service, or use that violates any law.
9. Disclaimers & liability
The platform is provided “as is.” Caterers are independent third parties; we are not liable for their acts, omissions or the services they provide. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
